IRNA Posted Notable Surge in Paper and Cardboard Exports

IRNA- the official news agency of the Islamic Republic of Iran states that the production of paper in the country has surged higher by 2.3% during the first five months of the calendar year. This is when compared with the corresponding period in 2018.

According to recent data published by the Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade, the country produced 398,800 tons of paper during the five-month period this year. Also, the country reported total cardboard production of 307,600 tons during this period. Upon comparison with the previous year, the country’s cardboard production was up significantly by almost 32%.

Iran’s exports of paper and cardboards skyrocketed by 63%, whereas the imports registered a year-on-year decline by 18%.
